Marjan Alizadeh holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Middle East, a post-graduation degree in Film and Television Business from Centennial College in Canada, and a Postgraduate degree in Distribution/ Cinema Management de La Femis college in France.
Marjan has many years of experience in Motion Picture sales and marketing; as senior manager of international sales, she had a role of a decision-maker to license and programming quality film and television productions created for a worldwide audience. Marjan has also established and executed the distribution Department of IranArtHouse Film in the Middle East. She launched the company’s inflight content division and format sales globally, acquiring third-party content for its catalog.
She executed the distribution department of Novin Film as its director of scripted and non-scripted content licensing, selling to domestic and international partners.
Marjan introduced many talented directors, especially the youth, to the cinema world by revealing their films in Film Festivals and broadcasting in major Channels and digital streaming platforms.
Marjan is an awarded filmmaker at Sundance Film Festival with the fiction film “Men Understand Each Other.”
She has recently nominated for Don Haig Award at Hot Docs Film Festival.
